Ali was listed in the Mail on Sunday as "ONE TO WATCH" and was later featured as "the next Sharon Horgan", Extra.ie's "30 UNDER 30" and The Sunday Times "30 UNDER 30".
As a writer, Ali currently has FOUR TV PROJECTS IN DEVELOPMENT with four leading production companies in the UK & Ireland. PRIVATE LIES (Treasure Entertainment), KNOCK OFF(Keeper Pictures), PLUS ONE (ShinAwiL) and SOUTHBOUND (Firebird Pictures).
Ali plays Scarlett in her self-penned comedy play ELECTRIC which opened in 2018 to critical acclaim and subsequently went on to tour the UK & Ireland in Spring 2019. It is currently in DEVELOPMENT FOR A FEATURE FILM adaptation with TriMoon Films having received support from Screen Ireland.
Ali was awarded 2024 Focus Short Funding with Screen Ireland for her short film THAT’S SO FEIS in which she plays the lead role of Gemma.
Ali received a place on the prestigious StoryHouse Lab 2025 with Element Pictures and Stowe Writer’s Retreat 2025. She was a finalist with RTÉ Storyland 2025.
Ali recently completed work as a shadow in a writers room for Deadpan Pictures for a new series by Cara Loftus.
Ali was awarded the Pavilion Theatre Patron Donation Award with which she wrote THE DEATH OF PABLO. The play was staged for a rehearsed reading as part of the Dublin Theatre Festival.
SHE WAS THE CHAIRPERSON OF THE JUDGES COMMITTEE FOR THE 2022 DUBLIN FRINGE FESTIVAL.
Ali wrote and performed in her comedy short film MAGIC available to watch here. Ali plays Lauren in the film opposite Killian Sundermann. She won Best Female Actor at the Dublin International Comedy Film Festival and was nominated for Best Short Film.
As an actor, Ali recently completed filming the role of Orla in THESE SACRED VOWS for RTÉ. Previous to this she played series regular Bethany-May Denbrough in S1 & S2 of the critically acclaimed series WRECK (BBC & HULU), Holly in BORDERLINE (Lionsgate) and Margot in Hallmark movie, CHRISTMAS AT CASTLE HART opposite Lacey Chabert and Stuart Townsend.
